Guinness World Record for Kota on International Yoga Day

On the occasion of 4th International Yoga day on 21st June 2018, yog guru Baba Ramdev performed yoga with more than 1.5 lac people of Kota.
The event took place in R.A.C Ground in presence of then Cheif Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje, Kota Collector Gaurav Goyal and many other dignitaries.
About 4000 volunteers looked after the arrangements of the mega gathering. The record breaking crowd also included students staying in Kota for preparations of various competitive examinations. Two Guinness World Record officials who came from london who monitored the whole event gave the record making certificates to Ms. Raje, Baba Ramdev and Gaurav Goyal.
And that’s how Guinness World Record for Kota became a reality.

In 2014, PM Narendra Modi put forward the Idea of 21st June as international Yoga day which was unanimously supported by UNGA (United Nations General Assembly).
Since then it is celebrated all over the world with great zeal.
A major credit goes to Baba Ramdev, for making yoga a familiar term around the world.
